Essential Job Functions
The Branch Manager will have direct authority and responsibility for all areas of the credit union including but not limited to the areas of accounting, investing, lending, collections, maintenance, information technology, strategic planning, marketing, public relations, human resources, and operations. The Branch Manager reports to the CEO and supervises 7-9 employees.
The Branch Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the credit union and directing the operations, which include planning and implementing programs and policies and providing general administrative direction. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Safeguard all credit union funds, records, and property in collaboration with the CEO.
a. Develop, recommend, and implement financial policies and procedures.
b. Authorize requests for disbursements, accounts payable, supplies and all other expenses.
c. Supervise a budget for the credit union that is consistent with the overall strategic plan.
d. Develop, recommend, and implement financial policies and procedures.
2. Ensure the credit union is following the federal laws, state laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration, DIFS, and other regulatory agencies.
3. Oversee the hiring, promotion, training, and termination of staff in collaboration with the CEO.
a. Recommend appropriate wage and salary structure.
b. Recruit and select quality applicants, ensuring the credit union is adequately staffed with competent employees.
c. Define staff positions, their authority, their responsibilities, and their limitations.
d. Evaluate the job performance of credit union staff to ensure quality service to members.
e. Promote education to employees, the Board of Directors, and Supervisory Committee as well as maintaining an acceptable level of personal education needed to stay current in credit union trends.
f. Oversee the employee benefits program.
4. Provide operational oversight by ensuring there is adequate equipment, supplies and working space available.

Job Description
As a loan officer, you are responsible for helping customers research loans and navigate the application, approval and closing process. Duties include recommending loan options to clients and explaining their terms, determining risks for loaning to clients based on their credit and processing paperwork.
